Root Canal Treatment
Careful endodontic care that saves your tooth.
- Fee
- On request
Root-canal treatment saves a tooth whose nerve has become inflamed or infected — often the tooth behind a severe, sleep-disturbing ache. The inflamed tissue is removed, the fine canals inside the root are cleaned and sealed, and the tooth stays where it belongs. Its reputation is dated: with modern anaesthesia and technique, most patients describe the appointment as uneventful.
01
Settle and numb
The diagnosis is confirmed with an X-ray, the tooth is fully anaesthetised, and treatment only starts once you are comfortable.
02
Clean the canals
The canals are located, cleaned and shaped with fine instruments under isolation, removing the source of the pain.
03
Seal and protect
The cleaned canals are filled and sealed; a crown is often recommended afterwards to protect the tooth long-term, and that decision is discussed openly.
Good to know
Some root treatments are completed in one visit, others need two — it depends on the tooth and the infection, and you will know which applies to you before committing. Keeping your own tooth is almost always kinder to the mouth than removing it.
